How to Recycle All Solids and Turnings

1. Separate Ferrous Metals and Non-Ferrous Metals

First, you will want to separate your ferrous metals from your non-ferrous metals. We recycle both but offer different prices for each. Ferrous refers to any metal that contains iron, and therefore are magnetic. Non-ferrous metals do not contain iron, and so aren’t magnetic.

Use a magnet to tell what kind of metal you have. If it the magnet sticks, your scrap metal is ferrous. If it doesn’t, its non-ferrous.
